Differentiation

Hyppo doesn't have its head in the clouds.

Same job as Otter, Gong, Fathom, Loom, and Granola - without the structural drawbacks of shipping every call to someone else’s GPU farm.

Off-cloud by default

Competitors are cloud-only or hybrid. Hyppo processes on device, encrypts local storage, and never retains meeting content on our servers unless you opt into sync.

On-prem ready, cloud optional

Run fully local, point archives at your own infrastructure, or add encrypted cloud later. You own the data - deployment is a control you keep, not a lock-in.

AI tools on your terms

Export transcripts, fire webhooks, and connect CRMs or agents so your preferred LLMs work on content you already control - without a forced vendor model.

Price without the enterprise gate

Free tier (2 min / video). Paid from under £5/mo. Gong hides behind custom contracts; Otter and Loom sit at ~£10–20/seat.

Share short videos and create SOPs in minutes.

Share short videos

Record a clip, keep the file, and send it. No forced cloud host and no 40-minute dump when a two-minute walkthrough will do.

SOPs in minutes

Capture a process once. Transcript and notes become a playbook you can reuse, edit, and hand to the next person.

Show the work

Screen, voice, and steps on the same take so the how is visible, not buried in a meeting recap.

Ready when you stop

On-device capture means you can export as soon as the take ends - no upload queue before you share.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does Hyppo send my meetings to the cloud?

Not by default. Capture, transcription, and summarization run off-cloud on your device. You can stay fully local, deploy on-prem for your organisation, or optionally add encrypted cloud sync later - you choose. Your data stays yours.

Who owns my recordings and transcripts?

You do. Files live where you put them (this computer, your bucket, or your on-prem store). Hyppo does not claim ownership of your content and does not retain meeting audio on our servers when you run local or on-prem.

Can we run Hyppo on-prem or add cloud later?

Yes. Start offline on each laptop, point catalogues and archives at on-prem storage when you need shared control, and turn on cloud workspace sync only if you want it. Architecture is local-first with optional layers - not cloud-locked.

Can Hyppo integrate with other AI tools?

Yes. Export transcripts and notes, use webhooks, and connect CRM or automation stacks so your preferred models and agents can work on data you already own - without forcing a single vendor LLM.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. Free includes local recording with a 2-minute cap per video and no card required. Paid plans remove the cap and unlock AI, CRM, and coaching features. Paid plans also include a 1-month full trial.

Which platforms are supported?

Phase 1 ships desktop apps for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with mobile and browser capture on the roadmap. Installers for each desktop OS are on the Download page.

How is this different from Otter, Gong, or Loom?

Those tools are cloud-first. Hyppo is local-first with optional on-prem and cloud: lower monthly cost, customer-owned data, and screen + voice + vision in one lightweight app - without enterprise-only contracts.

Do I need a powerful computer for local AI?

Hyppo detects available memory and hardware acceleration, then loads an appropriate model tier. Older machines use lighter models; newer machines can run fuller transcription and summarization locally.

Will there be hardware?

Phase 2 (from mid-2028) adds wearables - smart ring, pendant, and lanyard - for one-touch voice notes, plus desk charging and optional access-control integration. Software revenue stands on its own before hardware ships.
